THE GROUP: FANTI PACKAGING
Fanti Packaging has been a global leader in industrial packaging for over 70 years, producing metal, plastic, and hybrid cans, buckets, and drums for the chemical and food industries.
Founded as Giorgio Fanti S.p.A. in Bologna (Italy) in 1948 by founder Giorgio Fanti and currently headquartered in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna, Italy), the company has evolved, through innovation and constant growth, from small local business into family-run multinational. The Fanti family’s careful strategy of acquisitions and internationalisation, supported by experienced managers, has established and solidified its status.
Today, the company is present in more than 50 countries with 10 business units operating from seven production facilities in Italy, four in Europe, and one in the USA, alongside one commercial joint venture in Germany.
With over 500 employees and contract workers in our labour force, we produce over 180 million units annually, combining global industrial manufacturing with a strong local footprint.
Since its origins, Fanti Packaging has made innovation its main goal, transforming a meat tin into packaging for paints and chemical solutions.
This foresight has been integral to the company throughout its evolution, enabling it to incorporate flexibility into its mission to achieve sustainable growth. Today, Fanti Packaging partners many leading companies in the sector by leveraging its capability to diversify production and customise supplies, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with internationally recognised environmental criteria.
Our motto is: “Family Soul, Global Vision”. Because for us, belonging is everything: it is the lens through which we observe the world, the compass that guides our journey.
